On Saturday 20th June, we launched a weather balloon from Midsomer Norton. This is our last launch we’ve got planned for the moment – since March we’ve been traveling all over the country launching balloons to space to mark the beginning of A Decade With Mars.
Lots of people turned out for the launch, and luckily the rain held off! Here’s the moment of letting go. Photo by Nick Crisp.
After the launch, we traveled to Salisbury near where it was predicted to land and waited for a signal from the GPS tracker. It led us to a corn field between Basingstoke and Winchester, and we found it.
… And finally, here’s the footage that it brought back.
