We’re in Hull this week, at the beginning of our tour to launch A Decade With Mars. In each city we visit, we’ll be launching a weather balloon with a camera attached, to publicly launch the project and try and film space.
Yesterday we gave our first school workshop with year 3 pupils at Biggin Hill Primary School. We looked at space food and listened to Chris Hadfield singing in space, started some time capsule letters to our future selves, and made and launched bottle rockets together.
We’ve just launched a dedicated children’s website so that the pupils at Biggin Hill and all of the other schools we will visit around the country can keep up with A Decade With Mars. It’s illustrated by Laurie Stansfield – have a look here!
